We seek first the kingdom of God,
and to bring the message of Jesus Christ, -Yeshua HaMashiach- יֵשׁוּעַ מָשִׁיח [as his name is known in the Hebrew tongue] to the forefront of our communities and cities in this generation!
As we all know, the gospel is to be made known to everyone on a continual basis, so that whoever believes and calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved:
“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day”
(John 6:40, NASB)
Join the Movement
“And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life”
(1 John 5:11-12, ESV)
“And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”
(Acts 2:21, NASB)
“As Scripture says, ‘anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.’ For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile- the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
(Romans 10:11-13, NIV)
Is it God’s purpose for us to reach our cities and communities?
“You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria…”
Is it God’s purpose for us to proclaim the gospel to everyone, everywhere?
“...and to the end of the earth.”
Is it God’s purpose for us to be the influence over culture and society, or does he want the world to hold the influence over people?
“Be not conformed to this world…”
Is it God’s purpose for us to work together in order to more effectively reach our cities and communities with the gospel?
I say, absolutely yes. And on this page, in the book To the Churches: For we are all one in Christ, and in the letter to the churches of Jacksonville, I explain why.
For as it is written: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (ESV)
First off, when the LORD our God talks to us in the Holy Scriptures, he talks to us all collectively.
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!” (NKJV)
And as we all know:
“...The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.”
1 John 3:8 (NIV)
Also...
“We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other.”
1 John 3:14 (NIV)
And we have believed in the name of the Son of God.
And because...
“God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him”
John 3:17 (NIV)
This also means we have a responsibility to uphold, which is to allow God to work through us in order to accomplish his purposes and not our own, for his name’s sake.
Now the LORD our God works with us on a generational basis depending on the needs of a particular time, and he interacts with us accordingly. “And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation” (ESV). God sees what is happening and knows the needs of this present time. He also sees and understands the needs we might not be aware of. But he makes them known, if only we are willing to pay attention.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 (NIV)
However, if we turn away to seek our own plans and walk in our own ways, we will miss the path the Lord has laid out for us — the path that leads to who He has called us to become.
In this generation and according to the Holy Scriptures it seems evident that God has greater plans for the salvation of the world than what we are realizing and seeing accomplished. We are not saving entire cities and communities in our nation because we are not working together to do so. Do we not realize that God would have us to work together in order to accomplish His purposes and will, and to see His salvation be made known unto all creation?
Since the harvest is so great, and the challenge for us to work together, ever present;
A work of God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, is upon us…
The Jacksonville Evangelistic Association and Alliance
presented by:
Ministry United Mission, INC. & True Faith United Evangelistic Associations, is a small part of the greater picture and plan of God to save the world.
The JEAA seeks to form an Alliance and an Association of Churches, led by the LORD and the leadership of the churches and ministries in Jacksonville.
Having the intention and purpose of collaborating in order to more effectively evangelize the city of Jacksonville with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
We seek to make disciples for the Kingdom. Lives transformed by the truth of Christ, who will need faithful churches to gather, grow and be taught the Word of God.
And so I write, for the sake of the people in our world, and for the churches among them: that our collective effort and labor may bear fruit to strengthen your church fellowship and continually fill our sanctuaries, all for the purposes of God and to the glory of the Father.
For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God
(2 Corinthians 4:15, ESV)
Partially based on the fact that we are not working together as we should, we cannot simply sit back and watch as the world takes away our children and the people of this generation with the influences of sin, technology, social media, worldly songs and entertainment, and the philosophies of this world. God is not willing to take a back seat to those things, and if you ask me, is calling us to accomplish a greater purpose than we could ever accomplish on our own. The true question is, will we pay any attention?
“See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.”
Colossians 2:8-10 (ESV)
1 Corinthians 1:10 (NIV)
And if we do pay attention, then what will it take for us to work together?
It will take us walking in the Spirit and abiding in the word. It will take Christ in us the hope of glory. It will take men who are not walking according to the flesh. “For whenever someone says, I belong to Paul, and another, I belong to Apollos, are you not acting like mere humans?” (CSB) The Lord takes us beyond this type of thinking and operating, unless as the scriptures state, we are still worldly?
Let us therefore not be of this world. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and prove what God’s will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will” (NIV). And since it is therefore God’s will to save the world through Jesus Christ then we should be willing to do the same. “For we are God’s fellow workers;” (NASB). Not allowing men, or the ways of men, and the ways of this world to get in our way and hinder that from happening. We are not the kingdoms of this world. But we are and should operate as the kingdom of heaven. Now the kingdom of heaven operates as one, for God is one.
John 17: 18-23 (ESV)
So let us put off worldly thoughts and worldly ways, and let us live as those who abide in the light even as He is in the light. For we are all one in Christ.
Ephesians 4:20-24 (KJV)
For thus says the Spirit of the LORD,
“Walk then therefore in the spirit of My truth and in the spirit of My words. Hold fast to that which I have spoken and according to that which I have done. Hold steadfastly to that at which my Spirit has written in your hearts. For I will write My laws in their hearts and in their minds, and I will dwell among them and live in them, for they shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD, and they shall be My people and I shall be their God…”
Hebrews 13:20-21 (ESV)
Romans 16:25-27 (ESV)
With all this said: we seek, with the power of God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, to collectively bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the forefront of our communities and cities in this generation.
And we encourage you to be a part.
